Happy New Year!!!

Holocene by Bon Iver

"Someway, baby, it's part of me, apart from me"
You're laying waste to Halloween
You fucked it, friend, it's on its head, it struck the street
You're in Milwaukee, off your feet

And at once I knew I was not magnificent
Strayed above the highway aisle
(Jagged vacance, thick with ice)
I could see for miles, miles, miles

3rd and Lake, it burnt away, the hallway
Was where we learned to celebrate
Automatic bought the years you'd talk for me
That night you played me 'Lip Parade'
Not the needle, nor the thread, the lost decree
Saying nothing, that's enough for me

And at once I knew I was not magnificent
Hulled far from the highway aisle
(Jagged vacance, thick with ice)
I could see for miles, miles, miles

Christmas night, it clutched the light, the hallow bright
Above my brother, I and tangled spines
We smoked the screen to make it what it was to be
Now to know it in my memory

And at once I knew I was not magnificent
High above the highway aisle
(Jagged vacance, thick with ice)
I could see for miles, miles, miles.....

Google is Amazing!

Since this evening I was picturizing this poster I had as a kid, think it was the first poster I got of a car. All I could remember was that BMW front grill and that it was flying. After searching for just ten minutes I found the picture and after searching for another five, I now know who, what and where it was. Sometimes it's the little things that makes you happy.

14th July 1974 - Hans-Joachim Stuck flying his BMW 3.0CSL, nicknamed "Batmobile", at Flugplatz on his way to pole position in the ETCC round.

Scorsese's Letter

"So why is the future so bright? Because for the very first time in the history of the art form, movies really can be made for very little money." - Martin Scorsese

Was thinking of the exact same thing couple of hours back. I was watching this indie "Joker Rising", they have done an amazing job with literally zero budget.

They are currently raising funds for "The City With Two Faces". It's a continuation of "Joker Rising" and will be two films (Part 1 & 2), completing the Trilogy.

Evolution of a Grand Design

Do you want to be the guy who follow all the rules, does all the right things or, that eccentric guy who makes his own rules and show others how its done? I myself prefer the latter one. Lambo's designers were never those who followed conventional industrial design rules and because of that we saw super-cars like Miura, Countach, Diablo. They were designed with pure instinct and passion, not rules and principles. They have many flaws - impossible to drive with half tank of gas cause the nose would rise and you cannot see the road, you cannot park them or reverse cause the rear windshield and the side view mirrors were showpieces, every time you try to get out of the car you would feel like killing yourself, you cannot park them on the road or in a parking lot cause its as wide as two Volkswagen Golf.

There are so many things I can tell about these cars, so many flaws, so many issues and people can bad mouth the designers as much as they want but ultimately the fact is every time you look at them, your jaw just drops, you drool like a dog and you wish you had one.

I bet if you give a child, a pen and a paper and tell them to draw a car, 80% of them will draw something similar to these -

Sonderklasse

"S-Class" a German abbreviation of "Sonderklasse" or "Special Class", is the flagship model of Mercedes-Benz for over fifty years. It has debuted many of the company's latest innovations and technologies, which eventually became industry standards. Even the 1954 300SL Gullwing, the genesis of all super-cars was derived from a S-Class and its technologies.
